4A Visit: Weald and Downland Museum

Tomorrow, Wednesday 14th March, 4A will be off-site at the Weald and Downloand Museum. The focus of their learning will be Tudor buildings and what they looked like inside. There are nine Tudor buildings, ranging from a typical market hall, a Tudor kitchen, and farmhouse to an early furnished Tudor building.

Each  child needs to comes to school on the day of their trip, well equipped. The majority of the museum buildings are located in a farm- like setting which may be muddy. We have advised children to wear sturdy shoes, boots or wellingtons and warm clothing, including a coat. The weather forecast is good for tomorrow so we are not expecting any rain. Please remember that a packed lunch will also be required unless your child has a free school meal.

There is a small gift shop located in the museum. Children are allowed to bring a maximum of £3 should they want to purchase anything.

Please return permission slips ASAP. Thank-you to all those that have already returned their permission slips and paid a contribution.

We are leaving school at 9.15, arriving at the Weald and Downland Museum at 10.00. Lunch will be at about 12.30 and we leave at 2.00, so we will back at school for normal home time. We will have a really enjoyable time.

Thank-you for your attention and on-going support. Any questions? Please ask Mrs Adams.
