Half Term – starts TOMORROW

Our summer half-term holiday starts TOMORROW at the end of the school day. We would like to wish you a safe and restful week away from school. Don’t forget to take your reading books and Learning Logs home to complete some learning during the holiday. It would also be useful if your child takes their PE kit home for a wash.

Nursery Come and Make – FRIDAY

Please come and join your child for the Nursery ‘Come and Make’ session on Friday. It will be lots of fun and you can watch and work alongside your child. There will be light refreshments and everyone who comes along.

Y5 Start Bikeability Today

Bikeability is ‘cycling proficiency’, designed to give children the skills and confidence to ride their bikes on today’s roads.

There are three Bikeability levels. A child will typically start Bikeability lessons once they have learnt to ride a bike, with 10-11 year olds progressing through to Level 2, and then Level 3 at secondary school (11-18 year olds). Certificates and shiny luminous badges for each level are awarded to children who successfully complete each course and children are encouraged and inspired to achieve all three levels, recognising that there is always more to learn and to enjoy on a bike.

Our School Council will be meeting today to discuss topical issues. They may well want to speak to you before their meeting. They will most certainly want to share with you discussions held at the meeting so after tomorrow’s meeting.

Some of our children met with Cyril the snake today as part of their learning. Would you have been confident enough to have held Cyril the corn snake? We thought that the children pictured were very brave.

Healthy Appetites

30+ Y6 children, 4 adults, 6 loaves and 2 boxes of cereal later and our Y6 children are all set for their SPAG test this morning. Many thanks to Mr Hewett-Dale Junior and Mrs Maplesden for serving the pre-SATs breakfast this morning. An especially big THANK YOU to Mrs Jenner for making such an early start today in preparation for the breakfast. We’re hoping to see even more Y6 pupils for breakfast tomorrow.

Our regular Breakfast Club is operating as normal.
