We have a variety of clubs for children in KS1 and KS2. Your child was given a letter w/b 2.1.2012 outlining the details of the clubs and how to join. Children have now been informed of the clubs that they can attend.
If you are new to our school, there may well be some vacancies in the clubs – talk to Mrs Churchill about this.
Monday
Gardening for KS1 children at lunchtime – starting again February 2012.
Children have the opportunity to garden with Mrs Peters on a Monday lunchtime: 1 – 1.30pm. Mrs Mulhall often works with the club.
A typical session sees the children potting bulbs, growing vegetables, litter picking, watering the allotments and surrounding beds and frequent weeding. Children access a variety appropriately sized gardening tools and learn key gardening skills e.g. best time of year to plant, how to plant, where to plant and basic maintenance of the allotments.
