4A visit to Porchester Castle – Tuesday 1st October 2013
This is a reminder that 4A are on a visit to Porchester Castle on Tuesday 1st October. It is an all day visit so packed lunches will be needed and a £3.50 voluntary contribution as soon as possible.  Thank you to all the parents that have signed the slip and made that contribution. We couldn’t run trips without it.
Although the children take part in a fantastic workshop which is inside the castle, they will have time to explore the castle grounds so make sure your child wears sensible footwear and has a coat/raincoat depending on the weather that day.
This visit links to our topic on invasion involving the Anglo-Saxons, Vikings and Normans so the castle with its Norman Keep will bring the topic more alive for the children.
Thank you for your on-going support.  Mrs Adams

Off-site Visit Tuesday 8th May
The weather forecast for our off site visit tomorrow, Tuesday 8th May, is not very good.  It will hopefully be dry in the morning but light rain is expected in the afternoon. With this forecast, we will be going off-site so please make sure you send your child into school tomorrow with a waterproof coat and sensible shoes, maybe even wellies. Your child will need a packed lunch in a carrier bag. If your child has a free school meal, a packed lunch has been organised for you. If the weather is really wet tomorrow, we may have to reschedule.
Thank you for your continuing support.

4A Visit to Portsmouth Cathedral – Thursday 20th October

Dear Parents/ Carers of 4A children,

I would like to inform you about an exciting opportunity that we have been invited to take part in, next Thursday morning 20th October 2011 at Portsmouth City Cathedral from approx 0930 to 12 noon.

Our year group has been chosen to take part in several workshops with other local Portsmouth schools, to work together in a series of art, craft and social activities such as calligraphy, bell ringing and needlework. Our visit to a similar workshop last year, was a fantastic success and the children thoroughly enjoyed the experience. We will be travelling to the Cathedral in the school minibuses and will return to school before lunchtime.

We are asking for a £1.00 voluntary contribution from each child, to give to the cathedral so that we can attend.

Thank-you for your attention and on-going support.
Mrs Adams.
